- Eggless Chocolate Truffle Cake
Truffle cake is a hit everywhere. Let’s make this one at home
Ingredients
For Chocolate Sponge-
1⅓ cup Refined flour
1/2 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1/2 cup Oil
1/2 tin Nestlé MILKMAID
1/4 tsp Vanilla essence
1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa powder
3/4 cup Yogurt
For Icing-
3/4 cup Fresh Cream
1/4 cup Unsalted butter, soft
2½ cup Dark Chocolate, chopped
6 tbsp Nestlé MILKMAID
For Garnish-
Coco powder for dusting
Chocolate shavings
Gold leaf
Recipe
For Caramelized Milkmaid-
- Place the Nestlé MILKMAID tin into a sauce pot with water. On a medium flame, let it boil for at least two hours.
- Once it is ready, remove the tin and allow it to cool to room temperature for at least 20 to 25 minutes.
- Pour the Nestlé MILKMAID into the bowl so you may use it later.
For Sponge
- In a mixing dish, add refined flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cocoa powder. Next, add oil and vanilla essence.
- Make a soft batter by stirring thoroughly. Adding the whipped curd, assemble thoroughly by folding and cutting technique.
- Nestlé MILKMAID should be fully blended in at this stage.
- Pour the prepared batter into a cake pan after lightly greasing it with butter and flour. Bake the cake pan in a kadai over low to medium heat for 35 to 40 minutes.
For Chocolate Truffle
- Add fresh cream to a shallow pan and let it boil for 1-2 minutes before adding prepared caramelised Nestlé MILKMAID and thoroughly mixing at a medium temperature.
- Remove the pan from the heat, then stir in the chocolate well. Keep the chocolate aside for later use once it has been suitably tempered.
For Layering
- Slice the sponge into three equal pieces after de-moulding.
- Apply the caramelised Nestlé MILKMAID and the prepared chocolate truffle now by spreading them evenly with a palette knife over the bottom and middle layers.
- Spread the truffle evenly from all sides after pouring it over the cake. Place the prepared cake in the refrigerator to cool.
- Take the cake out of the fridge and evenly coat the hot truffle over it.
- Garnish some cocoa powder, whipped cream, golden leaves, and chocolate shavings and serve.
2. Chocolate Cake
Chocolate cake is an absolute delight for celebrations or whenever you are craving a burst of flavour. Try this chocolate cake recipe out.
Ingredients
4 tbsp Cocoa Powder
1/4 cup Nestlé a+ nourish Milk
1.5 tsp Baking Powder
125 g Maida ( Flour)
50 g Butter
3-4 tbsp (25 g)Cocoa Powder
150 g Powdered Sugar
1/4 tin Nestlé MILKMAID
150 g Butter
3 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Recipe
- Set the oven to 1800 C. Grease and flour an 8″ baking pan.
- Sieve together cocoa powder, maida and baking powder.
- Beat melted butter and powdered sugar together until creamy. Add Vanilla essence and mix.
- Beat in the eggs one by one while folding the dry mixture. Add the Nestlé a+ Nourish Milk until there’s a dropping consistency.
- Bake the batter in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or till a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool.
- After your chocolate cake recipe is done, beat together Nestlé MILKMAID Sweetened Condensed Milk, butter and cocoa powder. Microwave for 20 seconds.
- Mix and spread over the cooled cake.
